Word coming in from Bloody Disgusting's John Squires, Julianne Moore is set to star in the small screen adaptation of Lisey’s Story, which will make its debut on Apple’s streaming service.
Set to begin filming in the Fall, Lisey’s Story has found its star in Moore and now it has also found its director in Pablo Larraín (Jackie, No) and writer who is none other than the author himself, Stephen King.
Lisey’s Story is the tale about the widow of a well known author, who years after his death, cleans out his office, bringing back old forgotten memories. Later held captive and tortured by the stalker of her deceased husband, Lisey is faced with more horrible memories while uncovering the morbid, frightening past of her husband.
J.J. Abrams is in talks to produce the eight episode series with King and Moore both onboard as executive producers. We shouldn't expect a release this year but my guess is we could see it as early as summer of 2020.
