Coming in from Deadline, Universal Content Productions announced a limited series that will bring the horrible story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch to the small screen, based off the Wondrey podcast, "Dr. Death."

Dr. Death will be the story of a young surgeon, Christopher Duntsch whose patients show up for treatment but leave either worse off or in a body bag. As the morbid and deadly treatments continue, other surgeons who work with Duntsch begin to grow suspicious.

Jamie Dornan has been cast in the title role of the surgeon gone bad, along with Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater as colleagues and the fellow surgeons who form a team of sorts, to bring the patient killing doctor to justice.

Executive produced by Patrick Macmanus (Happy!, Marco Polo), the limited series still has not found a home on any network but with the success of other series fitting the same form, shows like Homecoming and The Act, Dr. Death should have no problem finding a network or streaming service to air on.
