Four new pictures have emerged, the big one being of actress Jamie Clayton as Pinhead, for what should be a horror filled return for the franchise that fizzled out in the early 2000s.
Introducing a new Cenobite as well, the first look provided by Entertainment Weekly is an early treat for all Hellraiser fans. Calling it The Masque, the new Cenobite appears to be a pasty white, acid trip version of C-3PO, and if that's just a taste of the Cenobites to come, well I can't wait for the full course.
Other first looks include a peek at the character of Riley, played by Odessa A'zion, the young addict who happens to come across the hellspawned puzzle box, and actor Goran Visnjic reaching for what could be another hellforged relic.
Finding new life on Hulu, Hellraiser gets the remake treatment from director David Bruckner, who along with Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, pen a new story for the Hellraiser universe. "It's the tale of a young woman, who's struggling with addiction and compulsive behavior, that comes in contact accidentally with the box and unfortunately begins to dabble with it," says the Hellraiser director, who adds, "And chaos ensues."
Coming next month and just before Halloween, Hellraiser will enjoy its Hulu premiere on Friday, October 7.
