It will have been 13 years since we last saw Esther, who at the end of 2009's Orphan was treated to a broken neck and a cold, watery grave. In a new tale about the killer with hypopituitarism, movie audiences will be treated to Esther's early work in Orphan: First Kill.
After escaping from the Estonian psychiatric facility that helped shape Leena Klammer into a pint sized, murderous psycho, a new family in America will fall victim to the girl's murderous ways when she poses as the family's missing daughter. Produced by Entertainment One and Dark Castle Entertainment, Orphan: First Kill will be directed by William Brent Bell and written by David Coggeshall.
Starring Julia Stiles, Rossiff Sutherland, Hiro Kanagawa, and Isabelle Fuhrman, who returns to the role of Leena/Esther. Orphan: First Kill will enjoy a limited theatrical release while also premiering on Paramount+ and VOD at the same time, on the same day of Friday, August 19.
