Goosebumps ventures down a familiar path, this time with Disney+ as a partner in scares. The bestselling horror books for kids hit bookshelves almost 30 years ago back in 1992. Three years later in October of 1995, a television series would be released that would become a huge hit on YTV in Canada, and Fox Kids in the United States.
Goosebumps would experience a resurgence in popularity with the release of a feature film in 2015, that would star Jack Black and take in more than $158 million at the worldwide box office.
Goosebumps has been in development since April of 2020, with Scholastic Entertainment and Neal H. Moritz producing the Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman written series. Now with the help of Disney+, Goosebumps will once again take over television screens with a new story that will follow a group of teens trying to rid their town of the Goosebumps evil they have unleashed upon it. A little warning to those that may remember, viewers beware, you're in for a scare.
