August brings the horror with a few movies that are sure to chill you to the bone even in this summer heat.
Look out for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark coming August 9. Based off the stories that have frightened whole generations of children and adults alike, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is directed by André Øvredal and produced by Guillermo del Toro.
Keeping out of the water this summer? 47 Meters Down: Uncaged will help you stay away from pools even. Directed by Johannes Roberts and starring Nai Long and John Corbett, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged will find four teens in a ruined underwater city inhabited by sharks. This one swims into theaters August 16.
Scary stories and sharks not enough? How about you treat yourself to a remake of Jacob's Ladder. Starring Michael Ealy and Jessie Williams, Jacob's Ladder is the story about Jacob Singer, a Vietnam vet returned home who suffers from hallucinations and terrifying flashbacks. More of a thriller than a horror movie, if this new telling of Jacob's Ladder holds up to its predecessor, those flashbacks and hallucinations should be enough for a good couple screams.
