TELEVISION: New Details for The CW’s ‘The Lost Boys’

We’ve known since late January that The CW was producing a pilot for the '80s cult vampire classic The Lost Boys and when news first emerged, nearly three years ago, Heather Mitchell (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal) and Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars, iZombie) were attached to develop it.

As things tend to do in the development process, they change and sources say Rob Thomas while not fully leaving the project, is taking a more minor role in the new CW series. Other changes seem to have been leaked as well, some that may or may not upset fans of the original hip vampire film.

According to Collider's The Witching Hour hosts Hayleigh and Perri, about 90 minutes into the video, we find out the vampire killing duo known as the Frog Brothers will now be the Frog Sisters. Move over Alan and Edgar and make room for Kassie and Eliza, though pardon the spelling as that may not be how the sisters spell their names.

As for the rest of the vampire story, CW has been mum but what little we do know still sees two brothers along with their mother, move to the sunny Santa Carla that unknown to them is overrun with cool vampire teens. With Vampire Diaries ending back in 2017, The CW has probably felt a little lifeless and their younger audience wouldn't mind having a new show to sink their teeth into.
