NEW ROLE: Nico Tortorella Will Star in Second Spinoff From AMC's 'The Walking Dead'

Deadline's Nellie Andreeva is the first to report that AMC will be playing host to another series that will spinoff off of The Walking Dead franchise.

Nico Tortorella, star of Scream 4 and Younger has been cast as Felix in the new series and joins actors and actresses Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Annet Mahendru, Alexa Mansour and Aliyah Royale. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is onboard to direct the series created by Walking Dead writer and producer Matt Negrete and co-creator Scott Gimple.

According to Andreeva, production has started in Richmond, Virginia and the story will center on the first generation of survivors to endure the zombie apocalypse. Walking Dead fans will surely embrace this third telling of survivors and zombies that currently remains untitled, and is set to release next year in the Spring.
