It's just a hop and a skip within the same month, as Scream 6 moves from an end of the month premiere in March, to an earlier release date where it wonk go head-to-head with the latest John Wick sequel.
Distributor Paramount Pictures is moving around release dates on a few of its films. Audiences will be able to watch the latest Scream next year on March 10, almost three weeks earlier than originally planned.
From producers Spyglass Media Group, Project X Entertainment, and Radio Silence Productions, the Scream 6 will again turn to directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick once again writing the script. The latest Scream sequel will once again move from Woodsboro to New York City, where Ghostface remains within killing distance of our four survivors from this year's Scream.
Starring Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown, Scream 6 will also see the return of Kirby Reed, played by Hayden Panettiere. Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori, and Dermot Mulroney join the cast as well, for what should be another exciting installment in the Scream saga, come next year on March 10, 2023.
