MOVIES: 'The Banana Splits' Get Reimagined

Once an hour long variety show in the late 1960s, The Banana Splits Adventure Hour was a short lived children's show that featured a band of four large, fuzzy animals.

Well, leave it to Syfy to revamp what used to be a children's show into a horror and gore filled slasher flick that will release sometime this year, or possibly the next.

Set to air on the Syfy channel and digitally, as well as on Blu-ray, we can expect this new take on The Banana Splits to surely scare up a good time.
