Another Henry Selick adventure is about to begin, this time the creative mind behind Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas, teams with Jordan Peele to bring audiences another imaginative, spooky, and fantasy-filled feature just in time for Halloween.
The teaser trailer for Wendell & Wild last month was just that, a very small peek into what I hope will be a fun and engaging pre-Halloween experience, that will one day become a certain Southern California Disney ride and attraction. The official trailer starts off with a solid punch to the gut, before giving light to what can only be a tale from the minds of Selick and Peele.
Wendell & Wild will tell the story of two demon brothers who enlist the help of a teenager, in an attempt to get the demonic brothers back to our world, or what's known by the dead, the Land of the Living. Starring the talented voice work of Keegan-Michael Key, Angela Bassett, James Hong, Tamara Smart, Natalie Martinez, Ving Rhames, and Lyric Ross, Wendell & Wild will receive a theatrical release on Friday, October 21, before enjoying its premiere on Netflix a week later on Friday, October 28.
