BUZZ: Toxie Gets the Reboot Special

The Toxic Avenger has new life as blockbuster studio Legendary Pictures takes on the B-Movie superhero.

Toxie is back for a new franchise and this time he has some big ass backing. This afternoon it was announced by The Hollywood Reporter that the studio behind films such as Watchmen and The Dark Knight have set their sight on the Troma franchise, The Toxic Avenger. Legendary Pictures has an okay track record when it comes to superheroes movies so they should have no problem give Toxie a proper reboot.

Legendary Pictures does not currently have a director in mind and there is no word yet if Legendary will reach out to the one director of Sausage Party who had previously tried to get a Toxie movie off the ground. Will Toxie be another superhero moneymaker for Legendary? Or will end up like Superman Returns.
